AUDIO DEPARTMENT HEAD & A1 TECH

• Sioux Falls, SD | Full-Time

• Salary Position $60,000 - $70,000

• Relocation package for out of state hires

• 3+ years of experience required in the live event industry with at least one year of experience mixing live corporate events

The Audio Department Head will lead and continue to shape our audio team. You will be active A1 on live events but also train additional technicians and help them grow within our ecosystem. You will be responsible for helping us maintain, purchase and train on new audio equipment as it relates to digital mixers, wireless RF, line array speakers, point source speakers, software and more.

Duties

• Work with the Project Manager to ensure the correct equipment is pulled and appropriate technicians are staffed for events.

• Lead event load ins and event load outs

• Limited DAW work may also be requested for our media team (mastering)

• Assist in the warehouse to help provide maintenance on inventory

• Train new technicians on everything “live sound”

• Help us build a training curriculum for audio engineering - curating existing video content online, creating custom training videos, and creating an outline for in-person training

• Continue to help our company grow in the caliber of audio equipment and technicians we can offer

• This position does require working live events on a regular basis

• This position does require limited warehouse work including prep and de-prep of equipment for live events

• Some work-from-home is acceptable for “office work”, but you will be required to be in the office/warehouse on a weekly basis to ensure clear communication and camaraderie with all team members.

Requirements

• MUST be versed and experienced in live event audio

• MUST have a strong background mixing corporate conferences

• MUST be competent with Midas M32 Desks, Allen & Heath QU Desks, Shure ULX-D, Shure PSM, JBL VRX, RCF HDLA

• Preferred, but not required, that you have experience with equipment lines from: Digico, Avid, d&b, Meyer, L-Acoustics and other touring grade lines

• Preferred, but not required, that you have experience mixing touring live bands (as a house tech or touring tech)

• 21+ years old

• Ability to lift/push 75+ lbs and work on your feet for extended periods of time (8 hours or more)

• Reliable transportation

• Valid driver’s license

• Ability to possess or pass a DOT physical within 90 days

• Ability to drive non-CDL box trucks and sprinters

• Ability to lead a team, including union stagehand calls

AUDIO ENGINEER - LIVE EVENTS

2+ years of experience required in the live event industry with at least one year of experience mixing live corporate events

Duties

• Your #1 duty is to be an outstanding audio engineer on live events

• Assist with event load ins and event load outs

• Assist in the warehouse to prep gear, deprep gear and help provide maintenance on inventory

• Limited DAW work may also be requested for our media team (mastering)

• Limited live audio recording work for our media team may also be requested

This position does require working live events on a regular basis

PROJECT MANAGER & TECH

• Salary Position | $50,000 - $65,000

• 3+ years of experience required in the live event industry

The Project Manager will take an event from concept to completion. You will interface directly with the client and internal team members to plan and execute events. Your priority will always be on the backend pre-production and planning; however, you will often be on-site as an event lead and/or A/V technician. You will not be in the warehouse pulling gear and loading trucks.

Duties

• Work with sales team to ensure an accurate understanding of the services and vision sold

• Translate sales quotes to actionable pull-sheets and plots

• Work with department heads to schedule all staff and technicians

• Generate event specific documentation such as day sheets, plots, patch sheets and renderings

• Ability to to operate as a technician in one of the following roles

  • Audio Engineer

  • Lighting Programmer or Operator

  • Video Switcher or Playback

  • Camera Operator

  • Rigger

  • LED Technician

  • Master Electricia

LEAD AV TECHNICIAN

Our lead AV Technicians should be highly skilled in one specific discipline or moderately skilled in several. You should be able to lead your department for a variety of event types. You will often be the primary technician for the event (A1, V1, L1). This position requires regular event work and also some warehouse work outside of events.

• Work with department heads and project manager to ensure an accurate understanding of the services sold, client expectations, technology needs and equipment needs

Our AV Technicians will help run the technical aspect of event production. You must have a general understanding of AV technology and a passion for wanting to learn more. We provide training, but you must be eager and ready to learn!

EVENT DJ

We're looking for an enthusiastic, energetic individual who has a passion for keeping people moving on the dance floor. Events include weddings, school dances, corporate functions and nightlife / bars. Pinnacle provides cutting edge technology and training, but you bring the personality and tenacity to learn!

Duties

• Assist with loading in and out events

• Setup audio and lighting equipment

• Be the face and the voice of the event

• Clearly communicate with the client and guests on site

Our photo booth hosts offer a fun way to socialize and earn extra money at a great hourly rate. Our hosts setup, operate and tearn down our photo booths at a variety of events including: weddings, corporate galas and private parties. No experience required!

Duties

• Setup and operate photo booth, backdrop and red carpet

• Greet and give instructions to guests

• Troubleshoot software and printer if any issues arise
